Sadly I wasn’t able to make last week’s Death Cab show in Bellingham, so I passed my ticket on to local music enthusiast Scott D. Here is his report from the show:
The air was electric with anticipation. The lights went out as smoke and a droning ambient noise filled the room. The crowd went wild. Lead singer Ben Gibbard’s voice soared over the fray, marking Death Cab For Cutie’s long awaited return to Bellingham. The crowd was slow to build at first, but then again, it was only about 9pm when things kicked off. The Hot Roddin’ Romeos played a fired up set of psychobilly tunes, pleasing their friends and fans in front of the stage, and winning some new fans as well. The crowd built in time …

I put off writing my review of the Glasvegas/Carl Barat show because my computer crapped out and I wanted to include some photos in my review. Well, I still don’t have a computer that I can use to upload photos from my camera, so I’ll just have to add them later (the photo shown here is from a different show). I drove down to Seattle last Saturday, braving rock slides on Chuckanut and flooding in the Skagit Valley, not to mention the steady buckets of rain dropping from the sky …
