Formed in 2001 and dissolving in 2003, Delay was part of a vibrant Northwest space rock scene sharing stages with bands such as: Kinski, Voyager One, Damien Jurado, Isopal, Denali, Lands Farther East, Neo, Idiot Pilot, and Goldstar. Delay featured members of Northwest bands Crying Shame, The Marmots, The Elvi’s, Prosser, The Apollo Generation, among others. The Basic Tracks for this CD were recorded live at the legendary 3B Tavern (RIP) in Bellingham. This record is a brilliant snap-shot of an era of northwest rock that is gone, but not quite forgotten. Now this lost record is back, re-mastered and with bonus material from a live radio show added on.

2008 started with the exciting debut of Lucky Brown & The Funk Revolution, a brand-new unit formed by producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, Joel Ricci. 'Don't Go Away' features leader Joel Ricci on lead vocals and the horn section as background singers. This cut has all you need: powerful vocals, a monstrous horn line reminiscent of the JB's 'The Grunt', and two fly flute/drum breaks for the beatdiggers. 'The Fresh One' is an instrumental track with a rude sound to it, the funk revolution lay down a killer groove and after Tommy D has his way with his spooky saxophone, Lucky manhandles the flute once again, then makes way for drummer Olli Klomp to take it on home. Lucky Brown could have been the house band for Dolomite or Petey Wheatstraw - they bring funk and soul to a down that definitely needs some.

Fantastic new EP from Seattle hipsters Math and Physics Club featuring four exclusive new songs! Lead track 'Baby I'm Yours' is a swinging pop hit on which MAPC drummer Kevin was encouraged to break out the drumsticks instead of brushes so it's really cooking! 'Nothing Really Happened' is a special one as it is allegedly the first original Math and Physics Club song and was (in different form) one of the four songs on the original demo tape sent to Matinée back in 2004. This newly recorded version features expanded percussion and a strong violin part from Saundrah that provides a lovely counterpoint to Charles' vocals. 'In This Together' began taking shape around the time of the 'Movie Ending Romance' EP in the spring of 2005 and was featured in live sets almost immediately. 'Do You Keep A Diary' finishes off the EP with a bit of a surprise. The song was written around the time of the album recording sessions last year but didn't seem to fit on the album for some reason. MAPC bassist Ethan snuck into the recording studio one day and muted everyone's tracks, turning it into a little synth-pop number that evolved over time into this brilliant version balancing electronic and real instruments along with superb vocals and a bit of a John Squire guitar explosion from James.
