Some people would’ve considered themselves lucky to have heard Lucky Brown’s unmastered version of their upcoming release Easy Invitation. The record is a snappy performance of mostly instrumental funk tunes.

The Wild Buffalo was the place to be on Saturday night - it was the 8th annual What’s Up Magazine Awards Show, featuring Lucky Brown, Sugar Sugar Sugar, Rooftops, Holy Tailfeathers, Candysound and Hot Roddin’ Romeos. The crowd was slow to build at first, but then again, it was only about 9pm when things kicked off.
